Peanut butter avocado toast is among the easiest and fastest healthy breakfasts out there. Ready in under ten minutes and made with delicious avocados and creamy peanut butter and endless ways to customize to taste you can’t go wrong!
Ingredients
To make this recipe you only need bread, avocado, and peanut butter. Optional ingredients include honey, sea salt, red pepper flakes, and maple syrup, or even finely chopped bacon.
Making Peanut Butter Avocado Toast
Start off by placing the bread in the toaster and toasting it to your desired darkness. I prefer to keep it on the lighter brown side for this one but to each their own. Using a whole grain or honey grain bread is also a really great combination with peanut butter avocado.
While the bread is toasting, prepare your avocado by placing it on its side and cutting around the pit with a sharp knife. Once the avocado is halved, remove the pit and use a spoon to scoop the avocado out of the rind.
Once you have the good part of the avocado free, thinly slice it. Alternatively you can mash it in a small bowl with a fork until smooth if you’d prefer it that way.
Now that the toast is ready, spread the peanut butter over it. Top that with avocado slices if you’re using slices. If you went the mashed avocado route, spoon it onto the peanut butter toast and evenly spread it across the top with a spoon.

- Honey – Before placing the avocado on the toast, drizzle a little honey on top of the peanut butter.
- Sea salt – Sprinkle sea salt on top of the peanut butter avocado toast.
