Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup soft, room temperature butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, or baking emulsion
  • 2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cups M&Ms
  • Optional: frosting and sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and line a 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and butter together until creamy and fully incorporated (using a mixer is easiest)
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixing bowl and combine again until incorporated. Then add in the flour, salt and baking soda. Mix together until a dough has formed, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed to push the flour down
  4. Gently fold in the M&M’s. It’s easiest to do this with your hands. Then transfer the dough into your baking dish. Press the dough down into an even layer and place the baking dish into the oven
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden and the middle has set
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool before frosting or cutting
